Prop. 30 stops those cuts & provides billions in new funding for our schools starting this year. That's money our schools need for smaller class sizes, up-to-date textbooks, & rehiring teachers and other educators.
Keep cops on the street. Prop. 30 establishes a guarantee for public safety funding in our state's constitution taht can't be touched without voter approval.
Help balance the budget & Protects Taxpayers. Prop. 30 balances our budget and helps pay down california's debt by asking the richest Californians to pay their fair share of taxes to help fund public education & other services. All taxes are temporary. And all money goes into a special account that the Legislature can't touch with annual audits & strict accountability.
